The Finnish company Navis Engineering Oy, founded in 1992, is a developer and supplier of high-quality automation and control systems for ships. The product range includes dynamic positioning DP0 – DP3 systems (approved by DNV, BV, LR, and ABS), joystick control systems and ship automation systems: autopilots (DNV Mark of Conformity), steering and thrust control systems. The company, which launched its first DP system in 2001, has either delivered or has been contracted to supply dynamic positioning systems for more than 250 special application vessels. In 2007 the company has established its China sales office in Shanghai.
